90 Points & Gold awarded to our 2018 Mélange Rouge

We are proud to announce that our Sol Rouge 2018 Mélange Rouge received 90 Points & Gold from the American Fine Wine Competition!

Notes From the Winemaker:

When we planted our vineyard back in 2006, we planted Cabernet Franc specifically to make this wine – a Bordeaux inspired Left Bank blend. Twelve years later, with much success with our Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc single varietal bottlings, we finally produced a red blend from our Bordeaux varietals called simply Mélange Rouge – Red Blend in English. A dark ruby garnet in color reveals fragrant aromas of blueberry, cassis, and black currants with violet notes. The palate is rich and full-bodied with savory blueberry, raspberry and black currant fruit flavors with hints of cedar. The wine is well structured with amazing concentration and firm ripe tannins that progress into a long 45+ second finish of dark fruit and hints of vanilla.
