We are pleased to announce that our 2015 Sol Rouge “The Keep” received a Gold Medal and 90 points from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

“In the spirit of the old world where the winemaker would often “keep” the best barrels for their own house wine, we embrace this philosophy our winemaker’s keep which we simply name – “The Keep”. Every year, we hand select several barrels that stand out as extraordinary. Not limited to any particular varietal, these barrels truly represent the best lots of the vintage. We then create a blend from these barrel and bottle up “The Keep” to be our house wine to share with our wine club and special friends of the winery. Our 2015 “The Keep” is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Syrah and Petite Sirah. The wine exhibits notes of cassis up front with a full palate of dark fruit and firm integrated tannins which are pulled through to a long finish with a hint of blue fruit presenting a unique high tone finish. Enjoy this distinctive and unique wine over a meal with red meat and hearty side dishes on a special occasion, now and over the next 9-12 years.”
