Double Gold Medal & 94 Points awarded to our 2016 Cabernet Franc

We are pleased to announce that our Sol Rouge 2016 Cabernet Franc received a Double Gold Medal & 94 Point rating from the American Fine Wine Competition!

Our 2016 Sol Rouge Cabernet Franc is another stellar, classic, Bordeaux style Cabernet Franc. The grapes were harvested after the Cabernet Sauvignon in the adjacent block, giving the fruit ample time to fully ripen and develop its flavors. At first sight, this wine is very dark with ruby red hues. Dark and concentrated in the glass, this wines exhibits rich aromas ripe blackberries, blueberry compote, sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, and a hint of green bell pepper. Full bodied and silky on the palate, the wine has a long smooth finish with a slight hint of cocoa. This wine’s firm tannins and concentrated fruit needs a little time in the cellar and will improve over the next decade.
