“Our 2016 Syrah from our estate is a blend of the four Syrah clones planted at Sol Rouge Estate Vineyard (Alban-Côte-Rôtie, ENTAV 300, ENTAV 877, and Estrella River). This Red Hills Syrah reflects the complexity and diversity of the ground in which the vines are planted. Our Syrah has an opaque ruby purple color with red and black berry fruit, scents of white cracked pepper, espresso, and toasted oak in the nose. On the palate, the wine is rich, lush and concentrated with cassis and black currant fruit and well integrated tannins, providing balance and structure exhibited in its long finish. A wine meant to be paired with food, our Syrah pairs well with red meat and, with its tannins from the mountain grown fruit, can even stand up to a big thick steak. Enjoy now and over the next 7-10 years.”
