One-Puff awarded to our 2016 Sol Rouge Zinfandel

We are pleased to announce that our 2016 Sol Rouge Zinfandel received a coveted 1-Puff rating from Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine:

“This fairly rugged wine makes no claims to politeness and comes across as being a bit coarse in construction, yet it boasts plenty of the spicy, dark berry traits expected of the variety, and, even though roughed up by hard-to-ignore, back-palate tannins that are accentuated by elevated acidity, it commendably maintains a good grasp on essential Zinfandel fruit right to the end. We would not hold our breath in anticipation of great elegance to come with further age, but age it will, and it will do useful duty as a partner to rustic, well-seasoned stews over the course of the next three to five years.”
